The Day Hopper
offers a calendar, an address book, and a journal, all designed to help kids organize
their lives. Considering all the things they can forget (piano lessons, chores) and parents
can forget (birthday parties, school fairs), it's not a bad idea. This simple program sports
a whimsically drawn presentation with colorful screens, smooth outlines, and an engaging main
character (Keroppi). Even the sparsely scattered animation is well-executed. Kids can write,
draw, and store information, and each child chooses a password to keep info private. While
it may look too juvenile for preteens, younger kids will use it for years.
