Things You'll Need:
Avocado Pit, Toothpicks, Plastic cup, water, small plant pot with soil (in a few weeks) |
|
Instructions:
1 ) Start with the pit of an ordinary avocado. Pierce pit with three toothpicks and set in a cup or small jar filled with water. |
|
2 )
Make sure the cup stays filled with water. In a few days you may notice the roots and stem coming out. |
|
3 )
In a few weeks, when the first leafing comes out of the top, snip it off. | |
4 )
Watch for a new branch to appear. |
|
5 )
When the roots thicken, transfer pit into a pot filled with good soil. Leave a little bit of the top above soil. |
6 )
Make sure you keep watering the plant every few days. Cutting back branches thickens growth. In a few months, your avocado plant will look great in your room! |
